SINOPSE
Sob o comando de um monge, uma colónia humana decide instalar-se na floresta de Éliande, a fim de aí serem construídas igrejas e aldeias. Os Elfos punem radicalmente esta intrusão e só o jovem Maheolas consegue escapar a esta investida. Contudo, este incidente revela-se o menor dos males, pois a partir desse momento os lobos negros, sedentos de sangue, semearão o terror por toda a parte.
A guerra é inevitável e as hordas Daquele-que-não-pode-ser-nomeado partem das Terras Negras, preparando-se para invadir a Terra e disseminar não só os Elfos como também os humanos e o povo do reino do rei Ker.
Mas no horizonte desponta ainda uma outra ameaça: a princesa Lliane, uma jovem elfo que se entrega às aventuras e às provas que farão dela a rainha guerreira, mas também a mulher sedutora e extremamente arrojada, deixa-se enfeitiçar pelos encantos do jovem humano que os Elfos salvaram aquando do ataque dos lobos negros. E eis então que os seus destinos ficarão unidos para todo o sempre.

Acabei de ler este livro a 27 de setembro de 2012. Dou-lhe quatro estrelas.
Em primeiro lugar, gostaria de destacar o que mais me agradou nesta obra: a linguagem usada. Uma vez que o meu género literário preferido é YA, isso significa que a linguagem é pouco formal, mais virada para o corrente. Em “Lliane” a linguagem é mais trabalhada. Sabe bem ler algo mais cuidado de vez em quando.
Em relação à história em si, tomo-a como o preâmbulo das Crónicas dos Elfos. Embora não esteja familiarizada com estas crónicas, acredito que este seja o ponto de partida para trilogia que se segue e que gostaria de ler, uma vez que gostaria de perceber como está o destino de Lliane ligado ao de Maheolas.
Também gostei do ritmo adotado; as cenas sucedem-se naturalmente, não há partes demasiado rápidas nem outras chatas, que só servem para “empatar”. Gostei do estilo do autor.
Por fim, as personagens. Não posso dizer muito sobre elas, uma vez que a história se focou mais na batalha do que propriamente no desenvolvimento das personagens. Espero vir a conhecer algumas delas melhor nos próximos livros.

I finished reading this book on September 27th, 2012. I rate it four stars.
Firstly, I would like to highlight what I liked most about this book: the language used. Since my favorite literary genre is YA, it means that the language is somewhat not formal, more daily basis talking. In "Lliane" language is further worked. It feels good to read something more ‘polished’ from time to time.
Regarding the story itself, I take it as the preamble of the Elves Chronicles. Although I’m not familiar with these series, I believe that this is the starting point for the trilogy that follows and I’d like to read it, since I’d like to see how Lliane’s destiny is connected to the Maheolas’.
I also liked the pace adopted; scenes follow one another naturally, there are no rushed parts or others too boring, just to ‘stall’. I liked the author's style.
Finally, the characters. I cannot say much about them, since the story focused more on the battle than actually in characters development. I hope to meet some of them better in future books.
